Session Option #1

"Creating an Inclusive Syllabus"

This is an On Campus Only session

Time: 2:40-3:30 p.m.

Attendance Location: On-campus; Yellowjacket Union, Great Room

Facilitators: Nick Danz, T Leeper and Jamie White-Farnham

Description: Bring your syllabus to this hands-on session where we will discuss some practices of inclusion that can transform your course policies, approach to selecting materials, and ways to connect students to the support they may need. 

 

Session Option #2

"Beyond Acknowledgements: Integrating Indigenous Perspectives and Content into Courses"

This is a Room & Zoom session

Time: 2:40-3:30 p.m.

Attendance Location: Room & Zoom


Facilitators: Mary Lee-Nichols, Chantal Norrgard, and Kat Werchouski

Description: The presenters will lead a discussion on integrating Indigenous perspectives and content into curricula at UWS and share examples from their own teaching and research. Participants will learn about the importance of including this content, best practices and important questions to consider in the process of integrating it into curricula, and useful ideas for how they might do this in their courses and other instructional activities they are engaged in.

"Becoming a Canvas Rich Content Editor Super-User"

Time: 2:40-3:30 p.m.

Attendance Location: Room & Zoom

Description: Are you ready to take your RCE skills to the next level? In this session, we'll show you how to create effective, organized, and attractive Canvas pages utilizing the style and formatting tools available in the Rich Content Editor.
