Although most of our journals, magazines, and newspapers are available online only through our many subscription databases, we maintain print access to a selected number of titles for general interest browsing and research. Some notable journals may delay online access to new content for a year or more, making print subscriptions more valuable for current, up-to-date research.
You may find journals or articles relevant to your research in the Library Catalog or by searching one of the library's many databases. If you know the title of the journal you are looking for, we recommend using the Library Catalog's "Journals Search" feature to learn whether or not the library maintains print or online access to that title.
Print journals may be found on the Garden Level by the elevator, shelved by journal title. Current popular magazines and newspapers may be found near the fireplace on the main floor. Articles may be scanned to PDF using one of the scanners in the Computer Commons on the First Floor.
A number of current general interest newspapers and magazines are kept along the wall in the Fireside Lounge area on the First Floor, near the Popular Reading collection. Older issues may typically be found with the rest of the Periodicals collection on the Garden Level.
