This guide offers a selection of library and select online resources related to the study of English and Literature. 

This guide is a general sampling  of some of the "most likely to be generally useful" resources. Aspects of history, culture, and other studies may also be of interest, so be sure to take a look at other subject guides, as applicable, if you would like suggestions for additional materials.

This guide aims to share resources of interest. Some historical images and descriptions may be considered derogatory or offensive. Additionally, please note that scholarly and creative perspectives and understandings may vary widely. Sharing of resources through this guide does not necessarily constitute endorsement.

In English and Literature Studies: Users are encouraged to be aware that language and writing are closely tied to expressions of human experiences. Viewpoints, meanings, and preferences can be different across times, places, and situations. Some resources may feature cautionary or contextual statements, and reviewing these as appropriate is encouraged. Thoughtful engagement is always advised.
