What is OverDrive?

Overdrive is a service that allows you to borrow digital content such as e-books and audiobooks. Overdrive also offers the Libby app for iOS and Android devices. Please note, Libby will not work with a Kindle device, and you'll need to use the Overdrive app. Overdrive is purchased through the UW-System, so the catalog is not selected only by UW-Superior.

Borrowing and Lending Period

Each person is able to check out 5 titles at once.

Audio Books: 7, 14 , or 21 days

E-Books: 7, 14 , or 21 days

Titles are automatically returned when due.

How do I sign up?

First, navigate to OverDrive and click "Sign in"

Next, select "University of Wisconsin-Superior" from the "Select your library" drop down menu.

You will be redirected to the Library E-Resource Login Portal. Enter your username (not including @uwsuper.edu) and your password

Browse materials until you find one you like. Materials available immediately will say "Available" whereas books that are checked out will say "Wait List"

You can choose to borrow an available item, or be placed on a wait list for when an unavailable item is available. The anticipated wait time is listed in the item's record.
