Special Collections and Archives: Visiting the Archives

Archives Open Hours

The archives at Jim Dan Hill Library will be temporarily closed between March 4 and June 1, 2024. We are not able to take donations, appointments, allow patron access, or access items for patrons during this time period. You may email the library director at jwhitefa@uwsuper.edu with any questions or to make an appointment after June 1, 2024.

Drop-in Hours

Archives is generally available Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

The Archives may be closed unexpectedly during drop-in hours due to staffing limitations. It is highly recommended that you make an appointment for all visits to the Archives, including those during drop-in hours.

Directions & Parking

The JDH Library is located on the corner of North 19th Street and Weeks Avenue, on the UW-Superior campus in Superior, WI. The Special Collections is located on the 2nd floor of the Library in Room 219, on the west side of the building (back). Visitors may park at meter stalls in Lots 7 or 10, or obtain a short term/day parking permit for general permit parking at the Campus Welcome Center.
