Archives and Special Collections at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Includes the Northeast Minnesota Historical Center, which contains regional history documents for St. Louis, Lake, Cook and Carlton counties. Regular archives hours are posted on their website, but it is best to call ahead. Many digital collections are also available.

The Fairlawn and the S.S. Meteor both house some archives and historical collections. These are generally closed to the public and are NOT accessible during regular museum hours. If you are conducting research related to these Superior institutions, contact Sara Blanck about accessing the archives.

Located in Duluth. Contains mostly museum artifacts, but includes a growing collection of letters and other archival materials from veterans. Staff are available to help researchers by appointment; please call ahead.
