Wisconsin Teaching Fellows and Scholars (WTFS)

Program Components and Requirements

  • Attendance at four OPID-sponsored events throughout the year required:
    • Faculty College: typically held late May – dates and location TBD
    • Wisconsin Teaching Fellows & Scholars Summer Institute: typically June – specific dates and location TBD
    • Wisconsin Teaching Fellows & Scholars Winter Institute: typically January – specific dates and location TBD
    • Final meeting & Spring OPID Conference on Teaching & Learning: April – dates and location TBD
  • Consultation and recording of SoTL project's progress throughout the program year
  • Submission of SoTL project abstract to UW System
  • Presentation of SoTL project at the Spring OPID Conference

Typical WTFS Program Process

  • CLIC shares a call for application to the campus community typically toward the end of October with deadline typically mid November.
  • Applications are submitted to CLIC by the UW-Superior deadline
  • Submissions are evaluated with finalist recommendations made by the Provost’s Office to UW System.
