The Lake Superior Maritime Collection contains many subject files arranged by port. This portion of the collection focuses on ports on Lake Superior, and focuses heavily on the port of Duluth-Superior. It also contains limited files for ports on other Great Lakes. Port files may include information on shipyards, specific docks and piers, lighthouses and other aids to navigation, bridges, Army Corps of Engineers harbor improvement projects, and maritime traffic.
