Requesting Books from Off-Site Location

The JDH Library circulating book collection will be held off-site during the renovation.  UW-Superior students, staff, and faculty may obtain JDH materials by requesting the item using the requests form on the library catalog.  Materials will be paged twice a day Monday - Friday.  Materials requested between 8 am and 1 pm should arrive that same day around 3 pm.  Materials requested after 2 pm should be available for pick up by 10 am the next day.

 

Procedure

  1. Locate item using JDH catalog. Bring up the single title you want.

  2. Click "Request" at the top of the page.

  3. Enter in your 16 digit ID # and full last name in lower case.  Click login.  You may use the card reader located on the right hand side of the pc screen to scan your UWS ID.  Enter your name first then scan your ID.

  4. From the drop down menu select "Call Slip."

  5. Enter your 16 digit ID # again and select submit request.

  6. You should receive the message "Your Patron Initiated Request was Successful." Repeat for each book.

  7. You will receive an email when your item is available for pick-up.
