Distance Learning Guide for Students: Shipping Materials

The library supports Distance Learners with research assistance, online workshops, and shipping of physical materials to a home address.

Shipping

There are two ways that you can receive items from the JDH Library:

  • If you live outside of the Superior area, we will mail library materials to your home (books, DVDs, and other items your professor may have put on reserve). There is no charge for this service.
  • If you live near another UW Campus you can request that our items be sent to their library. You will need your campus ID to check out the items.

How to Request Shipping

  • To have materials available at the JDH Library shipped to you, contact Lori Hughes with your request.
  • To materials requested via UW Resource Sharing or Interlibrary Loan shipped to you, reply to the emailed notification of availability with a request to have the materials shipped to you.

Return Materials

When you are finished with library materials:

  • You may mail items back to us at your own expense using the shipping label provided.
  • If you live near another UW campus, you may ask them to return the items using the “Wisconsin Courier System.”
