Our Gratitude to Past and Future Donors

Jim Dan Hill Library thanks you for your donations made to enrich our collections and enhance scholarly activities at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.

Donate Library Materials

Please notify us and make an appointment for large donations.
  • Gifts need to be relevant to the library’s mission in supporting scholarly activities of research and teaching.
  • The library accepts gifts of books, audio, and audio visual materials. Other materials are accepted on a case by case basis.
    • Journals and other serials are rarely added to the collection.
    • Materials that are not in good physical condition or are in an outdated media format (e.g., audio cassette, vinyl record, Betamax, Super 8) will not be accepted.
  • Gifts are accepted with the understanding that the library is not obligated to include them in our collection. Once donated, the library retains the right to determine the gift’s retention, access, use, maintenance, or removal.
  • Delivery of gift donations is the responsibility of the donor.
  • Donors will receive a gift acknowledgement form that may be used to claim a tax deduction for a charitable contribution.
  • The library does not appraise gifts. For appraisal, please consult a tax advisor or the IRS website.

You may also support the library via a contribution to the UW-Superior Foundation by designating the Jim Dan Hill Library as the "specific program or fund" you would like to donate to.
